Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) is the most-watched tech stock. There's no question. Its upcoming earnings, which come after the majority of the industry and all of the "Magnificent Seven" have already reported, are hotly anticipated. Warren Buffett is the chairman and CEO of the Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A) (NYSE: BRK.B) investment company. He has overseen a 19.8% compound annual return in Berkshire stock since 1965, which would have been enough to turn an investment of $1,000 back then into over $42.5 million today. The same investment in the S&P 500 index would be worth just $327,400 today, so it's no surprise that investors closely monitor Buffett's every move.

For much of 2024, Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) has disappointed crypto investors. Even with all the hype and buzz around the launch of the new spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs), the price of Ethereum is up a measly 15% for the year. By way of comparison, Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) is up nearly 40% for the year. And don't even get me started about all the meme coins that are up 500% or more for the year.

If you want to apply for one of the best credit cards , it helps to have a high credit score. The same is true if you're hoping to get a low rate on a loan, such as a mortgage. Many people believe that raising your credit score is a slow, difficult process, but that's not always the case.

What can easily be described as the most important data release of the third quarter occurred last week -- and a lot of investors probably missed it. Every quarter, institutional investors with at least $100 million in assets under management are required to file Form 13F with the Securities and Exchange Commission. In simple terms, a 13F allows investors to see what Wall Street's most-successful investors purchased and sold in the most recent quarter (in this instance, the June-ended quarter).
UK regional private equity firm NorthEdge has completed the sale of Cutwel, a cutting tool distributor to the SME precision engineering sector in the UK and Ireland, to Inflexion Private Equity Partners. The exit, the ninth divestment from the fund, was led by Andy Ball, Partner, and John Hammond, Director, alongside the Cutwel management team, and provides a strong return for NorthEdge Fund II at over a 3x gross.
The U.S. Federal Reserve has held interest rates steady since August 2023, when it last raised the federal funds rate to a 23-year high of 5.33%. But with inflation cooling and the unemployment rate ticking up, many Wall Street pundits predict the Fed will cut interest rates at its next meeting on Sept. 17 and 18. Falling interest rates are typically good for the stock market -- and I'll explain why in a moment -- but since a September rate cut is now widely expected, it's unlikely to have a sub

Investing is all about opportunity. For long-term investors, stock market dips can be a great time to accumulate shares. By purchasing shares at an even slightly lower price, investors can help lower their cost basis, which, over time, can help build wealth. So, let's examine three Vanguard exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that are worth picking up on the next stock market dip.
Asset managers must shift their focus to private markets if they want to remain competitive, according to a new report from Bain & Co, with the consultancy firm warning that traditional models centred on public markets are becoming outdated, according to a report by Bloomberg. As a multinational alcohol and cannabis company, it's no surprise that Tilray Brands (NASDAQ: TLRY) has more than one iron in the fire. What might come as a surprise is that it has so many different irons in the fire that it can advance a handful of its plans at once without slowing down. But the question of whether these efforts make the stock worth investing in is a separate issue.

The stock market has rebounded nicely from the 2022 bear market lows, and most major indexes are within striking distance of their all-time highs. With expectations of falling interest rates, and the continued strength of megacap technology stocks, things have been going quite well for stock investors. However, it's important for all investors to know that the stock market will crash again -- it's just a question of when.

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has captured the spotlight in recent weeks after reporting a substantial cut in its largest public equity holding, Apple. The move followed a 12.9% cut to Berkshire's Apple stake earlier this year. By selling a large portion of its Apple stock and not chasing hot growth stocks, Berkshire Hathaway is sending a warning to investors that Buffett views many stocks as overvalued.

Volatility is back. Not surprisingly, stocks that split tend to beat the S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) , at least temporarily, according to Bank of America.
