Private equity firm Blackstone Inc. is in discussions with banks for a five-year loan of about A$5.5 billion ($3.7 billion) to back its bid for Australian data center operator AirTrunk, people familiar with the matter said. Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund has signed a $15 billion revolving credit facility with a group of banks, replacing a previous funding agreement it reached in 2021. The Public Investment Fund, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, said the loan has a tenor of three years, with an option to extend by up to two more years. The financing will be provided by a group of European, US, Middle East and Asian banks, according to a statement Wednesday.

New York-based private equity firm The Chatterjee Group (TCG) is in talks with India’s state-owned Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and its subsidiary Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) for a potential joint venture involving a huge oil-to-chemicals project in southern India, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday. Hargreaves Lansdown backed the £5.4 billion bid for the FTSE 100 fund manager today from a private equity consortium, a deal that will end its time as a listed company. The Bristol-based finance firm has been listed in London since 2007.
